WWII : the people's history / Nigel Fountain general editor

Although WWII affected much of people on Earth, each year, fewer and fewer people have direct memories of the world at that time. Whether the battle took place on the beaches of Normandy, in the cloud raising above Japan, in Nazi death camps, on home front, in the factory, or on the farms, many vioces of WWII were not recorded at the time because there were no reporters within miles. WWII : the people's history is a record of those voices from a time past.

This volume of pictures and stories, accompanied by a CD documentary, is not a history of the war, but rather a look at the lives during the six years WWII shook the earth.

WWII : the people's history can be found on the shelves at D 743 .W79 2003
