If home is a place / K. Linda Kivi

If home is a place follows three generations of Estonian women.

Beginning during World War II, Maria and her daughters, Sofi and Helgi struggle to survive in war-torn Europe.

The story also follows the life of Esther, the 27-year-old daughter of Sofi, fifty years later in Canada as she watches the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the declaration of Estonian independence. Having been raised by refugees, she carries their fears and desires. She wants to create a place where she belongs.

If home is a place can be found on the shelves at PS 8571 .I94 I4 1995
