Stitches / Glen Huser
Stitches follows three years in the life of two people: Travis, a boy who likes to sew, make puppets and costumes for dolls, and his friend Chantelle, a girl with a deformed upper lip and short stature. Over the course of three years, as the two mature and grow, Travis' and Chantelle's talents attract a group of students who are also artistic. However, Travis continues to be a target for three school bullies.
This story touches on some serious topics: abuse, bullying, homophobia and violence, but does so without dwelling on them.
